Throughout most of my career, I have gained extensive experience in the craft, construction, and facilities management sectors. My roles have ranged from hands-on execution to serving as a Global Director, overseeing hundreds of projects. While my passion for the construction industry runs deep, I recognize that there are several issues within it that are entirely fixable.

My experience in the logistics industry has provided valuable insights. As a result, my colleagues and I applied similar workflows to large-scale projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars. These simple changes led to significant improvements in speed, cost accuracy, and the synchronization of upstream and downstream processes.

This understanding of efficient workflows aligns perfectly with the work we’re doing with organizations like Kahua , who are dedicated to transforming the construction industry's status quo. Their efforts aim to make construction projects faster, more cost-effective, and lower risk, ultimately benefiting all team members, especially the owners.

We refer to this work as "Construction Logistics." Logistics involves optimizing the flow of money, materials, and information. In the context of construction, construction logistics seeks to streamline and optimize numerous activities, many of which are still bogged down by outdated practices that fail to add value to the final product or its users.

At our own company, we apply the same principles, guiding our clients with information-rich solutions that facilitate improvements to their projects. Whether through 3D scanning and modeling, meticulous proposal preparation, or highly detailed invoicing, we strive to lead by example and "walk the talk."

While I continue to enjoy the hands-on aspects of planning and completing finely crafted work, my day-to-day experiences also highlight the vast opportunities for improvement. The construction industry offers constant learning, and many of the insights I gain lead to new, innovative approaches. By continuing to consult and help pave new paths forward, I remain committed to making construction projects better for all involved.
